How about a $800, 89 Dodge caravan running 12's in the 1/4 (for the non
speed freaks...that's faster than a stock Vett) on a 130k motor. Gives new
meaning to the term to "run what you brung". Hmmmmmm this just could be fun
and affordable to scare them little punks in the hondas with the big exhaust
pipes LOL and what cop is going to pull over a woody?

One of the guys here at work and I were talking about stuff like that this morning...came up with one better. The astro was available with all wheel drive. That all wheel drive system was modified to work in then Cyclone and Typhone Hmmmmm should be a mostly bolt in to a Astro van. The only hang up would be enough room for the turbo. Heck I would think that even a Grand Nat motor would be easy to do just because of the rear drive. Ok Astors are a dime a dozen...Hmmm My wife hates Mini vans but I wonder if I made a really fast mini if she would drive it.

Yeah, I've seen this guys site before. His whole love is to humiliate owners of legitimate sports cars by beating them with vehicles that should run pathetic times. The guy pushes like 24psi of boost through those little engines. I'm not really sure how he keeps them from detonating and/or blowing apart.

I think it's fun to humiliate Mustangs by beating them on the street with my GTP: "muscle car" owners hate getting beat by something front wheel drive and 4-door, but what this Mopar nut is doing is pretty outrageous. But talking about $800 is only a fraction of what he's spent getting that Caravan into the 12's. No doubt it's had a at least one complete engine rebuild and tranny rebuild for strength. 2.2L's just weren't designed for 300hp or whatever it is he's running. I used to have one. It was 99hp and more like a 20 second car.

When I read the subject to this message, I was afraid that you had seen a mini van on the trail!

    ROFLMAO...
Could you imagine the look on the guys faces who get beat by a mini van?!?!

Jack: "How'd you do at the track last night?"
Bob: "Got beat by that dang mini van again"
    Jack: "HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA"

    LOL... that is too much.

Did you see the Beetle? I think it's more embarrassing to get beat by a diesel-powered Pokemon.

Nope...read the guys page. The motor is unmolested. He got it doing 14's on the stock turbo. He upgraded to a bigger turbo and put big injectors in it plus 2 extra injectors in the intake to keep it rich so it won't detonate but the base engine is the original to the van with 130k and has not been rebuilt. I had a bud with a Turbo Omni when I was about 18. NOTHING could keep up with that little POS. Same engine. It ran down and out handled every punk in a camaro and a mustang in the area. There is a Supra around turnin 874 rear wheel HP. The vid of the dyno run is amazing. All out of a 3.0 engine.
I think this guy is a riot! More power to him. I would love to see the faces of the people in so called "muscle cars" after getting trounced by that thing.
