I am new to this truck and need some advice on the problems with the 4.3 engine. If anyone knows what gets dirty often or what would make this truck run rough please let me know /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Egr valve is a common problem with these trucks. If you have the vortec engine the proportioning valve under the plennum is notorious for leaking. These trucks got all kinds of problems. Get rid of it and get a real truck. Biggest mistake I've ever made was giving up my full size for one of these roller skates.

its an 89 s-15 4x4. The other problem is that when the gas is applied, the truck will not accelerate at a constant, it will fluctuate speeds when the gas pedal is not being moved. The fuel filter has been changed.

I'm going to go with the ignition module and distributor cap and rotor.
