    Hey guys,
Is the SAE #3 tranny pattern compatible with the GM or any OEM bellhousing pattern or do they require an adapter to mate up? Thanks.

If you are referring to the B.O.P. (Buick, Olds, Pontiac) then your answer is NO, they are all by themselves. You would need an adapter to mate it to a chevy.

Requires an adaptor, call Jamie at the Diesel Depot, he sells them.

There is also SAE2 and 1. 3 is the lighest duty and 1 being the heaviest. They do this to form a standard that all the big Diesel manufactures can conform to. When you buy a Semi you have your choice of engines for the most part. Makes it easier on the industry.

Check out this site that somebody sent me after I made the post here. There's actually #00-6 SAE housings too. 00 being the largest and 6 the smallest.
