Please support this drink because anyone who is bent because of the name of the drink is completely off base especially because of the issue of the freedom of speech. I don’t think any energy drink should be banned because of its name or the connotations associated with the name.

That and I want to be able to buy it at my local store here in California.
Right now I have to order it by the case.

So go to the http://www.petitiononline.com/cocaine/petition.html and support our First amendment rights.

You can buy it at http://www.drinkcocaine.com/

I am in no way affiliated with this company just got mad when I found out they were being messed with.

Don't have a clue what it tastes like, therefore I refuse to succumb to their wishes of supporting their product......................

    lol whaaaaaa.

They were doing quite well until people with way to much time on there hands messed with them. This is not an advertising ploy so much as a struggle to have the right to sell the product with the name they have chosen.

For me it’s a First amendment issue and that is never a stupid fight in my book.

Remember it starts with stupid things and works up to more important issues of rights.

    LOL
Yes the same issue goes for bearing arms. I know this is not directly associated and I know the name of this soft drink bothers you so you let your personal filters rein.. That’s ok but don’t patronize to justify your opinion the fact is it’s a right and I hate it when the freedom of speach and my right to bear arms are messed with.

You don’t have a problem with the freedom of speech do you?? Or mine?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I even pulled it up for ya.

Does that give the newspapers the right to write f*ck or a$$hole in their columns?

Just substitute the word cocaine for 'F*ck' or A$$hole, then maybe you might see a different angle.

Bare in mind, this is discussed as an academics discourse.

So let me try this again:

The first Amendment right to freedom of speech is under attack over a stupid soft drink name.

I figured this board would be full of people interested in protecting the first Amendment rights of All Americans

    Just a thought..

    LOL
Yes I understand and your “preaching to the choir” . I am also not for misusing the rights to a point of debauchery. Still this is a stigma that is already in use by coke and although it has less of the full name it has the very same connotation.

Kids already have access to seriously over caffeinated drinks but they don’t have the name cocaine…its about the name not the drink.

Cocaine is not a swear word so unfortunately it is a viable name. Your point is ..point less.

That name is stupid. If I walked around in California with a shirt that said all Californians are Douche Bags, and got the crap kicked outta me, would you defend my first ammendment rights and fight along side me?

First the dixie chicks, now this..

That's what I love about this country.. everything becomes a civil rights or first amendment issue.. :doah:Once again, I don't see where free speech applies..

I have my certain issues I fight for too, but this one doesn't excite me..

If they go out of business because they chose a stupid and or offensive name that pisses people off, who cares? They should have put more thought into their marketing plan..
