Saw a red one on the highway this morning...I thought it was a Hummer until I saw the 10 bolt rear. It was pretty cool looking...but I like my K5 more.

Someone spent 5K on a bummer conversion and coudln't even drop $300 on a 14bolt? That kills me. Did they have a 283 6-cyl under the hood too? Maybe the outstanding NP208 tcase was bolted up.
I'll never understand people. Kind of reminds me of the guy who spent untold $$$ buying big tires and a big lift for his blazer and then drove it everywhere for years in 2wd because he never bought a lenghtened/clearanced front driveshaft.

That reminds me of this kid at my school who has a '91 Bronco. He got a 6" lift put on, but only put on 32" tires because he didn't want the tires to trrow dirt on the side of the truck. It also leaks oil when he slows down, and the oil drips onto the headers and smokes. He puts Smoke-B-Gone in the oil and then it doesn't smoke. He's afraid to change the oil pan (oh no........25 bolts) so he'll keep doing this............until his engine breaks

Not every one can go out and blow money to build up their entire truck in one shot. And not every one is interested in serious off roading. The guy probably has never even had the bummer off the street. Whatever floats peoples boats man.

In utah, I see those thinngs all the time (well sometimes) They are kinda cool, but way to much body for wheelin'. Think fitting a full size on some trails is tuff, try fitting one of those things. Still, being able to fit 38" tires with no lift has got to have its good points.

LOL that's sad....although I have a 6" lift and 33's...but I am only doing this due to my crappy gearing and lack of funds to upgrade for now......I'm not afriad of mud either! The more the better!

Have you guys seen the new 2002 models of the Bummers? They tried to make them more sleek and appealing to a more sporty crowd whatever that means. Still ugly if you ask me....I wouldn't take one ever! Well, wait yeah maybe I would to sell it to get money for parts for my K5!! [IMG]

For the price of the Bummer, you could buy an old K5, fix it up, deck it out, and it could do cirlces around the Bummer in a mud pit.

K5 just upgraded to rig status! [IMG]
