My wheel wells are all rusted out (they got more worse in this pic BURB ) and I want to cut off the rust to prevent it from spreading so fast. Also to make room for bigger tires, but im not worried about that now. How would I prevent the edges from rusting after I cut it? /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

the quarters at the bottom are two pieces of sheet metal. all you need to do is tap them together and weld them then spray paint. if you cant weld then clean up th sheet metal and jb weld them. but make sure you spray them with spray paint and that should do it.

my new metal was "seam sealled"??? whatever the hell that means....it was suppose to prevent water/salt/mud from getting between the metal- and therefore prevent in rust...ask me in 5 years if it worked

On most new cars the body panels are spot welded where they meet and seam sealer is used to make them water tight.
