New to the site and thought I'd step in and say hello to the locals. :) I'm in Vancouver Washington and picked up this 89' K5 about 5 months ago or so. It's pretty much stock at the moment but future mods include, 4" lift, rear shackle swap, 35's and maybe some paint. It's my dd at the moment. Would like to join up with some trail runs later this summer when I get the lift/tires installed.

I'll see if I can get some pics loaded tonight when I get home.

    Nice forum.....

Welcome... I'm not exactly local... but I probably get down that way more than most of the OR/WA members.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. :k5: <-- Look,,, it's my Blazer lol....

Jek, I live in the Cascade Park / Fishers Landing area but I work in downtown. I noticed your sig asking for Arch. work. Do you have any Civil Design experience by chance? Like earthwork grading, street/utility design?

Here is a couple pics of my 'stockish' K5.

cool beans. I remember the Cascade Park of old.. used to go shoot at the English Pit back in the day when there wasn't 50,000 houses all around it. lol!

Unfortunately I don't. My wife is in "transition" right now with respect to work also... so I can't really leave my current job either.

good lookin K5 though, you'll have to go wheel with the gang sometime.

    Jek,
Ya I've only lived in this area since 96' or so and it's amazing how much it's grown just in the last 10 years,,,, crazy. I remember when Battleground and Hockinson was considered quite a commute. Now I hear of people living in Woodvillage and Longview and commuting to Vancouver and P-town. That's NUTS lol....

Yes, I'd like to go with you guys on one of your trail runs sometime. Have to wait till after the lift though. My 33's rub too much right now being stock height. I still need shocks and extended brake lines for the lift if you know of anyone selling some used stuff. :) My buddy gave me some used 4" skyjacker fronts.

    Mike
