I want to get a scanner for my truck, its an OBD1 system. What would be the best scanner to get and from where? I know at one shop they use the GM Tech 1 and it shows everything going on with the truck:wink1: :cool1:

How much money do you want to spend, do you have need of one that also reads ODB2 or CAN codes, and do you want it to plain-text translate the codes in addition to reading them? Do you want it to read ABS codes, shut off the check engine light, or reset the airbag?
