Just finished the movie Monday afternoon. Yeah, I might be setting myself up for trouble, but bear with me...

I don't feel it was that good of a movie for all the awards it garnered, and wasn't spectacularly well made. I believe it was hailed as an amazing film because of the subject matter, and the general plot only. It was ok, sure. Although not a film I would like to see again.

Am I alone in these thoughts?

I'm surprised no one has had anything to say...

I didn't bother watching the movie. If the critics are all gung - ho about it, it's probably gonna suck.

Besides, I've read tons of books about the holocaust, and WWII in general, so a hollywood movie doesn't really add anything.

I thought it was a pretty good movie... but like you, that's pretty much it. I didn't see it as a cine-masterpiece or anything.

dont mind the fact that it was a true story and all.
