trying to do some site analysis work for my architecture studio. Project were doing is for an agricultural museum.

some topics I"m trying to get info on are about the irrigation methods for this section of the country (west texas thru kansas or so)

    furrow dikes
    irrigation methods
    agricultural land alterations
    farming methods
what happens with the extra space in a field using center pivot irrigation?

need all the info I can get.
    thanks guys

that dosen't help me now. and the locals that do that kind of thing aren't in the coffee shops in lubbock. our coffee shops are the liberal kids that actually get up early or stay up late

I cant help to much with your question but you might try contacting the local county extention agent. He/she could direct you to the info if they dont know off hand.

Now if you had a question on cattle or pigs I could help. I also know a little about improved grasses.

Sorry I cant be more of help

    Dustin

guess my biggest question right now is what do they do in the fields with center pivot irrigation on the corners where the irrigation dosen't hit

While I'm not a farmer, there's tons of farms out here in east texas. Only a couple are using the center pivot technique. Depending on the topography, it looks like most of the corners are left natural or are used for utility purposes(barns, sheds, other storage).
