    Just remember that it's a "dry heat"............[IMG]

I had the pleasure of being in Phoenix when it was 124 degrees. Man that fun stomping up and down in the street watching it leave marks because the tar was starting to get soft....

Lived there for 8 years............loved the 'wheeling but hated the summers. Repeat after me.............."its a dry heat"........you will hear that a lot, and if you live there long enough you might become brainwashed too! [IMG]

Trust me, the desert is wonderful...........but 110 degrees is 110 degrees, true more bearable than Florida (no Florida flames please [IMG]) with 99/99 (degrees/humidity) but hot is hot!

    Enjoy..........great wheeling spots!

You guys must be smoking some good stuff if you think AZ is better than CO! [IMG] Been down to AZ many times and it was just too fricken hot. Better have AC and watch out for those retired people when they run you off the road. [IMG] Denver cold???

I think Shane's running from the cops myself... [IMG]

Hey shane, are you done building your beast? If not, bring down to my house so I can steal , er, I mean store your Blazer for you....

Re: Screw CO I\'m Off To AZ

DRY HEAT lol !!!!! thats to funny
Sure its hot in the summer but the winters kick ass !
I am tired of the cold and have alwas liked it down there i spent a couple of months in the summer and a whole winter down there and loved it. Nothing against Colorado its just time to move on.
I am looking foward to do some wheeling down there but i have to put the blazer back together i just pulled the drivtrain out so with moving and rebuilding the drivetrain i am going to be a little busy this next month. That means i better head back out to the garage.
    Later

Hey Shawn if you really want to store somthing for me i got a nice El Camino that would look real sweet in your garage. HUH

I moved down from Oregon. I love it so far. It is starting to get warm though. I think this is the place to be. The days are hot but the evenings make up for every bit of the heat.

    Good luck with the move!

Ah hell....guess i'll throw in my two bits...lol. Moved here from SoCal in 89...love it here...allthough my soon to be better half has asperations to move to Grand Junction Co....If you can get through the 4 months or so of summer the rest of the year is kick ---!!! If you plan to live in the north west...good choice...it'll put you close to Lake pleasant and lots o wheelin...just make sure you live somewhere above at least northern....down south has turned into Lil Mexico...no offense but its gotten bad. The arrowhead mall is clean and nice...99th ave and bell road...but you will have to endure our senior drivers as Bell road seems to be a gate way of sorts to Sun City....lol. Give me a ring when you get here....Moose lives up the road from me and Haulgas lives across the street...plus i could take you out to New River to view the cleanest 72 K5 around!

    SECRET INFO FOR CK5RS ONLY:
OK, I am an Oregon transplant and this is why I love it here in AZ.
From Phx, just a 2 hour drive you can be in Flagstaff with tall pines, snow skiing or to the White mountains with pristine lakes great trout, tall pines, excelent elk, dear, bear hunting and all the stuff. Further north (4-5 hrs from Phx) we have Lake Powell, huge for houseboats and jet skis...
Going 3 hrs or so west we have the famous COLORADO RIVER with lake Havasu (girls, girls, girls) oh hello wife ....
Going south 2hrs is Tucson old west stuff and further south is Mexico and Rocky Point, ya gotta love it.
A $100 flight and 1 hour will get you to San Diego, Las Vegas or Albuquerque and all the stuff they offer....
Summers are hot and people dress like it (welcome back mini skirts and tall K5s to view from)...We have alot of culture that I am not into but sports, Pro basketball, ok baseball, fun hockey and a paperbag football team....
Downers, snowbirds that cannot drive.....please be patient with them they bring millions of dollars to the state revenue in the winter months..Great mexican food, big hole in the ground, on and on and on.....
The best for last, many good places to use the four wheel drive, rocks, rivers, and mountains....
