Did some searching, to no avail. Who sells the screw pin type shackles for attaching tow straps to a bumper? I have two points on the bent and twisted rear bumper. I think they are 13/16" holes. Checked harbor freight and northern tool, but both only have the shackle that bolts onto the bumper. I need the kind that opens with the screw pin at one end. Thanks for the help!

    Tony,
Any business that sells wire rope with have the shackles. Wire rope should be listed in your yellow pages. They can hook you up, or if not I will be offering them real soon.

Hmmm, how soon is real soon? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I found some in the grainger catalog for work. They offer 3/4" pin (6800 lbs capacity) and 7/8" pin (11000 lbs capacity). 3/4" would fit, but seems kinda low for weight capacity. I would feel better if I used the 7/8", maybe i can find a way to knock out the holes a 1/16" bigger. Maybe i'll wait and see if you can pull through though. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Pics of bumper are being developed tomorrow....

Sure does. Once in a while someone will stop in and make an offer, and if it sounds good, out the garage it goes.
