I installed my new engine and transmission yesterday and then realized that I didn't look to make sure there was a seal between the tranny and the tranny/Tcase adapter. Is there supposed to be a seal or O ring in between? I want to know for sure before I pull the Tcase. Does fluid from the tranny spill through to the Tcase?

on my th350/205, the seal was only to keep fluid from the tranny from leaking out between the back of the tranny and the adapter. the 205 had its own input seal, which kept the atf and gear lube from combining. there was an O ring on my combo, rtv works too.

I believe there is a paper gasket available, I've always just RTV'd it.

Ther is a seal on the input shaft of the t-case. As far as the adapter goes RTV works, JUST FINE.

IT'S MOSTLY MAUI WAUI.... BUT IT'S GOT SOME LABRADOR IN IT
