Whats up with the "search engine" here at CK5? I plug in "Crossover Ujoint", and get replies back on chaging out a heater core??? /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

I know what your saying...before Steve changed it you could type in "locker for a 14B" and get nothing. Now you would get all kinds of stuff about aftermarket steering wheels or something. It is like it needs to be a little better at narrowing down the threads.

Click on the "Advanced Search Tips" link on the search screen. It appears that the new setup uses an OR function by default, which will bring up every thread that matches ANY word in the search field. By adding the plus sign to the words you can tell it to use an AND function and that it must find ALL of those words in a thread before considering it a match. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif You can also use the minus sign to tell it NOT to match any thread that contains that particular word.

You can also put it in quotes to get a phrase, which is what I frequently do.

"Conversion" might do better in a search than "crossover". Also keep in mind that people may type "ujoint", "u-joint", "u joint", etc. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

If there is, Neapco doesn't make it.
