Has anyone done a conversion with newer, 88-98, seats in an older,73-87, pickup or Blazer? My factory bench seat is in good condition but Im 6'4" and a little cramped with the seat all the way back. Ive seen a couple of the "aftermarket" seats with the consoles and all but they seem to be a little bit taller than the stock bench and are a but more expensive than a boneyard replacement.

Will the newer seats bolt right in? Are there any buckets w/console that will work? Im not whining but......help.

Oh nd what year did the factory buckets in the blazers become more mobile(as far as driver comfort)? I cant remember if my 87 leaned back or not but I know my 73 didnt.

Here a while back I looked at a truck with seats out of a Caddy in it! Im not sure how they did it, but they were really comfortable and sat pretty low.

    <font color=orange>My dad has a 88-98 seat in his 76'.

He used the stock seat frame and bolted the new seat to it.

Thanks. I'll have to scrounge around the boneyard and see if I can find some.
