Sometimes the Segway company comes and gives free test rides in a parking lot near my apt. It's free as long as you listen to the jackass trying to sell them for an hour. They're fun to ride around on, but way too inpractial. I'd never buy one. There's only a limited amount of people who can actually justify owning one. Those are older or handicapped people who live in a rich neighborhood(less likely to get stolen in rich part of town) and who go to a lot of places within walking distances. Other than that, they're worthless to everyone else. You can buy a badass bike for 5k, and that never needs charging...

    Whatever happened to walking?

That looks like a cool thing, but like what's his face up there said, I can't think of many people who can legitimatly justify owning one... If I ever see someone riding around on one of those things who isn't old and damn near crippled and they try and tell me it's convenient or something... convenient my ass... Lazy is the more appropriate term...

I guess they think wearing wool shorts and combat boots doesn't make them look dumb enough. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wouldnt ever buy something like that for even $1000, but I can see where it can be used. Its sure not a revolution, but it can be useful and efficient for some comercial applications.
