Never mind, I'm keeping my Blazer....... Too many memories over the last 15 years, it would be like selling one of my kids.

    DUUUUDDDEEE!!!!!
    What are you thinking!?!?
Needing the $$$ to get the pro street project rolling huh.
    Damn.
I just bought a '67 Camaro last month, but the thought of selling my K/5 never ran through my head. When It would, I wouldn't even think of it. How are you gonna have a K/5 to tow your Pro street car with? Dude, now you'll only be getting comments about your nice Pro Street... Not about your tow rig as well. Maybe I'll see you up at Hot August nights.
    Too bad man.
Maybe there will be another first gen blazer for you in the future, and we might see you back around here.
I know I'm just gonna be like everyone else here, and say DONT GET RID OF YOUR BLAZER MAN!
    Take it easy.

You can be like me and have 4 vehicles. You just have to pick projects one at a time. I do one thing on one vehicle and then go to the next. Someday I will have everything done. I am doing heads, intake, cam, and exhaust on the burb, turning the Firebird into a 8 second car with about 1200 hp, injecting the Jimmy, and restoring the GTO. Sounds like fun huh :)

Re: Selling my K5 first generation

I have plenty of other fun things. I have a 1999 Dodge Duallie one ton to pull my 30 foot fifth wheel, 1998 Durango, 1986 Jaguar XJS V-12, 1972 Blazer, 1970 half ton p/u, a pair of 2002 Honda rancher 4 wheelers, a pair of 2001 Seadoo jet skis, 2000 19' Stingray ski boat, 1986 Harley FXRS Lowrider Custom, 1996 Harley XLH Custom, 2 noisey kids, 2 ugly rottweilers, and a wife. Also have a wallet draining shooting hobby. The kids won't leave, if the wife leaves she takes it all with her ( I may be able to keep the fifth wheel to live in), The dogs just keep comming back, the jet skis, 4 wheelers and boat are too much fun, The duallie is my back and forth to work vehicle, the Durango is my wifes back and forth to work vehicle, The Jag is 4 sale but I am not "giving" it away, the 70 pickup is my new project, so that leaves you know what.....It don't need nothing and runs like a banshee. I have had it for over 15 years and have had my fun in it. Chances are if I sell it I will replace it with another Harley. I need an Ultra Classic touring Harley.

Do whatever will make you happiest.
......Just everyone I've ever talked to that has owned a First Gen K/5 Blazer and sold it... wishes they never had gotten rid of it and still had it.

I have given this some serious thought. You are right, I would not be able to replace this first gen with one that is as nice as it is. I owe this truck a lot......It was my only transportation for many years and it never left me stranded..always got me to work on time. I am keeping it and will come up with another way to get the camaro.... Thanks everyone....
