This thing keeps popping up every now and then and I finally stopped by the dealer while it was on. Service writer told me to bring it in for a new 4WD switch. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I look for anything else?
    Thanks

Yeah, pretty fair bet it's the switch.
The Tranfercase Control Modual moniters the switch's voltage and will turn on the Service4WD light when it's oyut of spec.
Something inside the switch isn't makeing a good contact or is making contact when it shouldn't. (I don't know what it is exactly)
It is a intermitant problem and the light will reset when the "problem" is no longer present.

    Put a switch in it.

Took the dealer ten minutes to replace the switch. So far so good.
