This may seem like a stupid question but here it goes. Went muddin a couple days ago. Yesterday my friend tells me that its a good idea to take apart your lockouts clean them out and re grease them after playing in the mud. I've never done this before, a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If the seals are good I wouldn't worry to much. When I used to go mudding almost every week, I'd pull the lock-outs once every couple of months with no water intrusion.

Procedure depends on brand, if you do a search you will probably come up with how to for yours. It really is pretty easy, just make sure you have a good pic set and snapring plyers.

the lockouts are probably fine but you will be able to see if there is water in the wheel bearing by pulling the hubs
