I only shaved off the lower lip, I didn't go down as far as the case.

I got right up to the bolt heads on the lower 4 bolts. Harley went to the threads on the bottom bolt (oops /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif)

should call mine a 13 bolt by all rights. If you were to look straight down the pinion there is a bump or bulge between the pinion and cover so hopefully it comes down on that or slides on that rather than the very very thin spot there.

Here link to a picture of my 14ff. I used a grinder to shave the lower lip off. You can see how much i took off after i put the cover back on 'for reference only'.

This is how I did mine. I shaved all the way untill there was just a little left under the lower bolt hole. When I put the cover back on I ground off the head of the bolt so it wouldn't drag. I ground the lip all the way down in the front so it doesn't stick down.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who can't fit cars in the garage because of all the truck project crap laying around. My wife is none to happy to have to scrape the windshield in the morning because her half is full of tires, axles, a generator, tractor parts, etc.../forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    Sorry to hijack /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
