how long did it take u to put the kit in a th350?? can u pick between the two modes on the B&M's or does it just depend on which combination of parts u put in??

It should take you 1-2hrs the first time you do it, if you dont loose one of those check balls /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif.

I usely put in a shift kit when I rebuild the transmission. It's so much easier with the tranny up side down in the bench !!!!!!!! Plus I like to use all heavy duty (good) parts when rebuilding.

I've heard nothing but good things about transgo.
The B&M kit is good for the TH350. I wasn't really impressed with the TH400 kit.
I installed a B&M stage 2 street/strip kit in my blazers TH350 and i love it! Takes maybe an hour to do the shift kit. Chirps 2nd some of the time. I've even gotten it to chirp 3rd a few times. If you don't want that then tame it down with a stage 1 kit.
The differnce between the stage 1 and 2 is the directions tell you where to drill holes in the spacer plate. Its in different locations according to which you want.
I heard some people say the directions suck but i thought they were easy.
Don't lose the check balls when you take out the valve body with the tranny still in the vehicle.
When it's time to reinstall it, you'll want to get some tranny assembly lube or maybe just a small amount of some grease to hold the check balls in place while you line up and bolt the valve body back on.

I have a stage 2 B&M shift kit. I have no complaints about the quality of it. I should have went with stage 1 because it absolutely slams into 2nd. My 35's and 4.56's always chirped into 2nd and sometimes 3rd. I also run 39.5's now and it ain't cool anymore because all you get is a big slam into second because those tires don't chirp too easy.

Poll the respected trans shops in your area. If one of them recomends B&M, check into if they're really respected. None of the respected trans shops in these parts will use any interanl parts from B&M.
