Got a question for all you experts. I have an 85 Blazer when I want to use 4wd I have to shift into Neutral then put it in 4x4. Is there a way to change this so I can put it in 4wd while in Drive (preferable while moving). (This is all assuming that the hubs are locked in already).

Also why would my lights (left on) buzzer stop working? Is there a fuze or something?

you should be able to go from 2hi to 4hi while moving, as long as you're under 15-20mph. To go to 4lo, you will have to stop and put it in neutral, or park.

As far as the buzzer, it's just a small little box that makes noise. It is probably gone bad and needs to be replaced. Sorry I don't have more info for ya, I just rip those things out anyway --- they drive me crazy!

Yeah, what they said. However, I like to engage when in neutral. just seems more safe or less ware and tare.

Ditto to the others. 4HI you can do while moving. While on the trail, I leave my hubs locked and shift in and out of 4HI all the time. I only use 4 wheel drive when I need it. To get into 4lo, you must be in neutral. I wouldn't shift into 4HI at much speed, however. You are just asking for something to break when everything grabs.
