I've used Forward Air before, they're pretty good and have decent prices. They flew an HP60 from northern Michigan to NC for about $100.

If you do go ground I am/have worked for a few companies. Avoid SAIA Motor Freight like the plague. FedEx Freight is really good, but a lil pricey.

I've had two things shipped to me via SAIA and they did a good job. What is the deal with them?

I used to work for them and I can honestly say that about 90% of the freight was damaged.

Ofcourse Axles and such are pretty hard to damage, so you'll probably be safe. But if it's breakable go with a different company.
