shock location question when installing 14 bolt ff in a half ton?

    will be putting a 14 ff from a 78 2 wheel drive 3/4 ton in a 86 short bed 1/2 ton 4x4, will the shocks bolt up? or will some modifacations be in order? /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif thanks guys!!!

    I believe the shock mounts on the 2wd 14 bolt FF hang two inches lower. So, your current shocks will bolt up, but you won't get as much travel out of them.

    heavy4x4 is correct, the shock mounts are 2" lower on the 2wd version.
