What are the best most long lasting not so freaking expensive shocks out there(tell me what you think, not what the manufacture says). Dont say heckthorne, because mine blew out in about a year.

The Do-techs are more wallet friendly...

I just put Bilstein 5100s all the way around and they really work well. Kinda pricey at $69 ea. but like most things "ya get what ya pay for". I feel the performance difference over the typical rancho type shock is easily worth the diff in price. They provide a much more positive feel and much less of a harsh ride. Also, they are factory re-buildable and not "throw-away". For the price diff (say $150-180 extra) you'll have a better handling truck for years to come - spread that cost over 4-5 years and you'll wish ya went BILSTEIN !

Can ya tell I'm impressed !?

PS - I've been running Rancho RS5000s and 7000s for the past 10 years and really wish somebody would have told me about the 5100s a long time ago.....
