I need a new set of shocks for my 88 jimmy. The rear shocks are air shocks now, but i think im gonna replace them with regular ones. Which brand is considered the best. My truck is riding stock suspension with 33's that don't rub...yet. If anyone has any suggestions tell me. How are explorer pro comps? I'm only looking to spend around $100.

Rancho shocks work good and you can get 4 rs 1000's for about $100.You might try and put your ride on a ramp and measure the length you need for full compression and full droop.I used longer shocks in the rear than came with my kit.Brady

Hey Mudrebel, try doin' a search for "shocks". This has been discussed allot and I think most guys like the Rancho 9000 adjustable....I'm leanin' toward the Edelbrock IAS. Good luck!
