I see this all the time in the magazines - what's the difference?
Is it the amount the water pump stick out from the front of the engine (so the long water pump would be closer to the radiator than the short)?
What's the deal? And does it matter which I have on my 350?

yes, actually chevy makes three different size water pumps. the pump and housing themselves are actually longer than the others and therefore they are sloser to the radiator. i don't think it really makes a difference which is which but you do need to have the right one on for the alt. belt and water pump belt so they are straight
