What do your "vertically challenged" wives/girlfiends/F-Buddies/whatever say about your lifted trucks? My wife loves mine, but hates trying to get up into it. She says I get to cheat since I have the steering wheel. I'm 6', she's 5' 4". I broke down and bought some nerf bars for her. She gets P'ed off when I tell her to "load up" like I tell my lab. H*ll, he get's in it better than her.:D BTW, it's got about 8", & 38s.

I just pull up to the side of the house and let the woman in from the second story window .

    My girl is 5'6".

She was out there helping me install a part today. She says it makes her feel like a little kid.

The funny one to watch is my Grandson but he enjoys a climbing challenge.

I forgot to mention that I had 35s before today. She had trouble getting in then. I got the 38s on today. The first thing she did when she got home from work, is go out and see how much trouble she will have "loading up". She got P'ed again when I said it wasn't tall enough, and that I was thinking about giving it 2 more inches.:saweet:

I don't actually "pull" myself up with it, I kinda just use it for "direction". It's a tilt column, and I've heard you can mess it up by pulling on it. What was your experience?

Well, im a pretty big guy, used my wheel in my 85 for assistance every so often.. it started getting loose so i figured id dig into it and tighten the i think 4 torx screws. Well i never had the time so one day i took it into my friends shop for him to do it. I made it about half way there, went to take a corner at about 25mph (90 deg corner) steering wheel falls in my lap and thankfully i got it to get off the street somewhat safely. bout crapped my pants and glad i didnt get anyone in the process. Needless to say, that was a bad day

There is nothing wrong with lifted trucks and women. Hell, it gives you a "good reason" to grab her ass and give a push. :haha:

PS: Eric, i've been rebuilding tilt columns for 25 years already. I think by now i'm pretty good at it. :D

I take a running leap and pray :haha: god help me when Craig gets bigger tires...on my uncles truck down south my head was level with the floor boards, he'd toss me on the floor boards and I would squirm my butt into the seat. I LOVED driving it (im between 4'11 and 5' depending on where Im measured, I'm a freeking midget or something :D )

He's taking the running boards off soon :eek1: then I will be sol!

Boat ladders are a dime a dozen around here I think I may need some soon, hes lifting and putting 33's on. Might take me 5 min and some swearing but I will figure out how to get in. (Kinda like me trying to climb in the back door of my bus. Entertaining and a nice butt shot :haha:

My gf says the same about my truck. Now that I'm going to 6 inches, she's wanting a handle.

I guess this gives me an excuse to order DPI Sliders. :D

X2 I use this method to help my girl get in my DD.

My girl stopped going wheeling with me once I put the 44's on. I grab the door and the bed rail and step up onto the tube steps. then into cab.

I worked in a garage where one day they towed in a van that had the steering wheel ripped off by a very large man who used it to help himself get in.
