well we were worken on Confednecks truck today wile he was doing somthen I decided to pull the cover on my old half ton 10bolt that I just swaped out(recentally went to 3/4ton) n e ways It looked really good inside and I checked the gear 3.73... the entire time I owened my truck I though I had 3.08 (new 3/4ton stuff is 3.73) I though when I put my new axles it it dident change my gearing feel to much but I guess thats why. So should I be happy I have spare 3.73 stuff or be mad I dident even change my gearing?

373s are good for 33 or smaller tires, thats why upgrading
to bigger axles is expensive,if you get the gears you
want with the axles, than its a pretty coe deal,

I would say that 3.73 is alright with 35s if you don't have overdrive, but not ideal.

Listen to this headache....blew out my front 10 bolt, thought i had 3.08's..... did a d44 swap and a 12bolt rear swap (both axles from the same truck to have matching gears) was told 4.10's by the old spin the tire and count pinion yoke turns..... get it home and prepped and realize its 308's.....the hell with it, slap them under.... find out my old 10/10 was geared 3.73.....DOH....find a d60FF rear, told its 4.10's get it home check gears immediately and they are 3.55's....DOH....finally swap in 14FF 4.10's /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
