I've got an 88 2wd Burb that I've only got about $1700 in, got it at an auction. My wife's driving it now as our family car, but with 160k on it she'll be getting something different eventually, so what do I do with the Burb? It's got a beautiful interior, the front clip and doors are in great shape, and I figured I could rebuild the 350 for my 87 K5 without any downtime for the Blazer. The bumpers are nice, the glass, mirrors etc are all good. Actually, it's a really clean unit, but with no more than I've got in it I thought about keeping all the parts that would switch to my Blazer and sell the shell. Or would I be saving any money doing this? Thanks for the opinions.

I would say keep it and use the parts for the Blazer. Interior is expensinse so you would save alot of money that way.

I wish I had some "spare" rigs laying around! You oughta sell the back doors...and any of the interior stuff you can from the back end, and then chop the rear 3' off like the guy in TTC..along with the back half of the top. Strip the carpet and side panels and herculine that bad boy! I wouldnt make it a part rig...I'd make it a looooong term build up project! ;)

Tell us more about it, then we can deciede! (I'm going to assume that paying you $20.00 for it when she's done with it; delivered of course, is NOT an option here... ) ROFL!

I'd keep any/all usable on yours. If space isn't an issue, that helps too!
