Sell an entire K5....just to pay for a new transmission? Sounds kind of extreme....

I can understand that the '71 is not your "daily driver", neither is mine. I think you would regret not having something "fun" around to play with.

The 1st Gens are unique, and getting rarer all the time....If there was any way to hang onto it, you should really try......

Ask some of the folks here about the REGRET of selling a vehicle they wish they would've kept!!! [IMG]

Don't do it! The first gens are getting harder and harder to find, and you'll kick yourself later for getting rid of it. There's gotta be some other way to raise money to fix your DD, sell all your CDs, tape, movies, TV, anything else before the K5.

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?

I sold my '72 to by a Mustang convertable. The mustang was fun but I regreted selling my K-5. I finally bought another one last summer and I don't plan on ever selling this one! If possible, keep it.

You sold a '72 for a DISGUSTANG??????????? You must have been high!!! I could understand mayber for a Ram Air IV Trans Am, but not for any FoMoCo product... <GRIN>

Glad that you finally saw the light and got another K/5.

Come on dude. Snap out of it... ChevyRacing did. He wanted to sell his K/5 and then realized he was crazy or something. Did you read the thread about him realizing what he's got?...

My '72 K/5 is my daily driver... even if it wasn't, I would sell everything else I owned before getting rid of my first gen Blazer.

Duuuude, if its that big of a deal, "borrow" the tranny out of your Jimmy and then work on fixing that one... But don't get rid of it!!!

And DAMN! I don't think alcohol or weed could impair someones judgement that bad!...someone must have been smokin' crack to off their Chevy K/5 for a Ford... especially a mustang! At least you sobered up and got another K/5. heh. Just kidding.
