Has anyone tried to use the shoulder belts from a different model in your first generation. My hardtop has the plugs were the optional belts would have mounted. I have to find some way to use a booster seat for my youngun. Any Ideas.

Later ones will work but you have to find the ones that have the lap and shoulder strap mechanisms in the same unit. Some of the 70s and 80s Chevy trucks have two separate mechanisms for the lap and shoulder belts. I looked for some for mine but they're always trashed.
