Would it be legal (on the street) to use shoulder harnesses instead of the seatbelt? I saw a really nice set of seats that I like that uses the shoulder harness. I guess I could always use the seat belt but I think it would look sweet with the should harnesses.

Yes its illegal to use these instead of your stock belts. You can have them, you just cant use them on the street. Plus when you have the shoulder strap on you're practicly a part of the seat, this would suck on the highway when you go to change lanes.

In Missouri it is legal and I run five point harnesses in my truck. The harnesses are a lot better quality than the factory seatbelts, just more of a pain to put on. I use the shoulder straps as well but leave them a little loose so I can change the radio station. I'm a State Trooper and checked with our Motor Vehicle Inspectors before I changed mine out. They also said that my champion beadlocks were also legal to run on the street.
