As if I needed another rod and reel. This setup was kind of porky. G Lommis
GL2 6' Ultralight rod and a Quantum Energy PTi-A reel. The reel is pretty awesome, has line controlled management system, titanium bail with magnetic bail trip, multi-stacked ceramic drag, 10 bearings, and the list goes on.

my wife's brother (and his wife) works for G.Loomis making rods... anyone need a discount?

I think the whole fishing rod thing is all very funny. People spend in-ordinate amounts of money on them, because the government says they can't use a cheap net... which would be infinitely more effective. lol. End result is a multi-billion dollar industry that cranks out supa-bling-bling fishing gear. Who'd a thunk it.
