Thought about doing the paint option, decided against it.

But I did learn that getting the cleaner to strip oils and dirt is mandatory. Sounds like it works better on the dash and other low wear spots.

I painted my door panels, they looked good until the first time I took em off and they flexed, then the paint cracked. When I get some $$ and time, Im gonna wrap em in leather, cause Im that damn cool. :wink1:

These panels used to be lime green. I bought them off ebay all dirty, but in tact. The armrest took the paint a little different than the panel. I was a little concerened about it, but then I looked at pictures of 1970 impalas in the 1970 sales brochure for it and the arm rests were slightly dfferent shade than the panel.
All I did was scrub em up good with ajax cleanser and painted them.
I did seats and a dash back in the late 80's with some stuff they don't sell anymore (too toxic now I think), the seats eventually wore thru after about 1.5years, but the dash still look new.

Here is how I did my door panels. The driver side says Grim and the passener side says reaper silver letters. I am looking for grills for me speakers now so no elbows go through them.
