O.k. here is the scoop, I have a homeaide rear shackle flip with stock rear springs off an 87 model that I cleaned, radiused and rounded, added new teflon spring pads. On the front I have 4" tuff country ez ride sprinigs with OffRoad Designs front shackles. I radiused those as well and also took off the clamps and put on bolt style clamps

i love it! the truck is perfectly level, yet the tires are buried in ruts. i must come up and ride with you dude. our power line trails are all flat and mostly off limits.
i need some changes in altitude!
maybe i can get the gatoroffroaders together for a road trip soon.
    talk to you later,
    MTPockets.

Dude, you should be there when I pull up to ramps at 4x4 shops or at big trial rides. People snicker and laff, point and make all kinds of comments. Then when I start up the ramp, jaws drop, people shut up and comments go from ridicule to OH MY GOD, did you see that, and how in the Phuck does it do that. Then the multiple questions and lots of gawking go on. I am not positive, but believe I ramp better than any of the rigs in my club. I can beat one of the better TJ's thats in it hands down.

    MAN I LOVE SEEING THAT!!!!
Mines getting close but not quite as good as Deps. Couple of pics in my site (link below). Put 4 new pics in the scary section http://www.grimsk5s.coloradok5.com/photo.html (2 of the thumbnails are messed up I'm working on that) show some good flex and also a couple pictures of my buds truck on it's roof from 2 weeks ago. Yeah it's a Toyota but it does have Chevy Rally wheels on it LOL.
I did close to the same on my rear springs as Dep did (he's the one that told me how much better the late 80's springs do). Havent radius'd them yet. They are 4 leaf's plus overloads off a 86. I have Rancho front springs but thinking of getting the EZ's. They have a softer spring rate. Dep sure did figure the right combination of parts to make it work. His set up is also about the least expensive way to get that kind of flex.

Hey Bill, do a search for "12 bolt axle truss PIC" It was'nt that long ago and gives you a good idea of how Glenn mounted his shocks. Also try this link http://www.coloradok5.com/ranchoshockreview Should be pics of a similar set-up on the UAV.

With the newer leaf springs, they came with the pads. Mine were worn out so I got new ones at Landrum Spring here in Atlanta, any leaf spring shop should have the pads, they come in several different styles and attachment methods.

My leaf springs came off an 87 K5
