Why on earth would you join an organization that supports closures of public lands? The only bumper sticker on my truck reads "Sierra Club, Kiss My Axle!'

It's actually a good idea...not saying to go there and support them. But to be there to see what they do and moniter it. I've heard they do some pretty stupid things in the name of nature. Might be worth it to have our voices heard and show them the truth.... after all they have their members out seeing what we are up too....

I think it is an excelent idea. Knowing both sides is the only way to make an educated decision.

I have developed my own opinions, one-sided and biased. That is just not a good way to go in life. I think my opinions are just and resonable, but without knowing the other side-
My opinions are worthless....and will be proven so, unless I know the other-side.

Understanding what you are up against is key to winning a battle.
How meny times have you or I ended a discusion with "Umm- yeah, I didn't think about that...."

Nothing succeeds like educated, open-minded and orginized discusion.

I agree, like ive heard before if you want to change things the best way is to do it from within. Im gonna look into this. The only thing that i pause to think about as others have said is using my money for closing access to our land. One of the reasons i go 4wheeling is to enjoy the outdoors, the real outdoors not by the side of the highway at some lookout point!

Very, very good point. Not that we would ever make a difference in the way those morons think, but keeping an eye on them is definitely a good idea.
