Has any one "siped"(i think thats how u spell it) there tires yet? Discouint tires by me offers this for $10 a tire they claim 30% more traction,30% better stoping distance, and 30% longer tread life, I was just woundering if they made the tires not so loud. My thinking is that the siping may soften the harder treads a little which may result in a quieter tire. Any thoughts?

Do a search. I asked this awhile back and got some good opinions.

I've seen long haul truckers sipe tires . It does all the above except cut down on noise . Better traction , cooler running and longer life . The only thing I would worry about is with the slits in the tire will rocks cut them worse and take chunks out ??

Well, had a ste of tires done here once, really made a differance on wet pavement. Would I do it again, no. I just think of all the tire liability B.S., and it just isn't worth it! GOPHERKILLER
