I contacted Sky Manufacturing about a group buy on crossover/highsteer arms. They'll offer 10% if we buy 5 arms, 20% if we buy 10. I think I've heard from four potentially interested people for 2 arms apiece, so we're almost there. Would anyone else be interested?

    Website address: Sky Manufacturing

I'll have to look into whether they will ship separately or all in one box.

I'm game, but like neil, it will be Sept 29th before I have the cash. Does anyone know if they have the double arm that puts the tie rod behind the axle? I like the hell out of that kit...

The problem I see with locating the tie rod behind the knuckle would be that the shocks would have to be relocated.

I presently have a Sky (dual hole) arm on the passenger side of the D60...with thoughts of buying a single hole arm for the driver's side and going high steer. The only reservation I have about that is the fact of (when playin' real hard) the knuckle could crack and fold forward. I was debating on calling Sky and asking him if he had any ideas for bracing his arms down to the old tie rod mounting hole. This is on the D60....I don't know about the D44.

Chris, would it be possible for you to ask him about this??

    thanks

I think "The Garage" .. they mounted with the four bolts around the kingpin, but then ran a stringer down to the stock tie rod mounting location.

At a trail build in Fulton I got to see the Sky Dana 44 arms. These things are seriously beefy, thats the way I'm going to go. Seeing as it is the end of the month I'm going to give Sky a call today or tomorrow. I'll ask about the D60 arms to see if they're thinking about making ones with a stringer to the OEM tie rod hole.

    Who all is still interested?

Got off my butt and called Sky today. No, they don't manufacture Dana 60 arms that connect to the stock tie rod location. One of the reason they use the conical nut is to increase both the clamping force, but also the lateral force transfer area.

I'll be going to them for arms. Is there still interest out there for a group buy? Any info from WMS?

Chris, thanks for checking. If one wants a real beefy passenger arm for a D60, Sky is the one to buy. The use of the conical nuts and studs to mount the arm works very well. IMO, this is the best arm on the market- unless you want to go to highsteer.

We're gonna hold out for the WMS pics to come though...showing how they brace the arms down to the OEM tie rod mounting location. I would not enjoy seeing the knuckles fold up on the D60 because of high steer.

No problem Todd, sorry it took so long. FWIW they seemed really helpful and that's most likely where I'll be going for my arm(s). WMS isn't doing anything for the 44 are they?
