I'm looking for a Skyler brand soft top in either black or grey color. Tinted or non-tinted window okay. Send me a PM or post here with price and condition if you have one to offer.
    Thanks!

if you showed them a picture of a Skyler... a decent boat shop could prolly make you one for half the price...

Yeah, I thought about doing that. Problem is, I would have to buy a second hard top and cut it up in order to make the rails for the front and sides. I want to avoid drilling or mounting any snaps on the outside of the body.

Anybody selling a 76-91 hard top for dirt cheap in NJ/NY/CT/PA?!?!

I agree that the top-of-cab mounting points would be a PITA.... but for the bed rail ones that'd be a snap... no pun intended... just use some 1.5" or so angle iron... drill the holes for mounting them to the frame rails... and add some stainless steel snaps on the outside and you'd be set. Not sure exactly how to tackle the cab mounting points... prolly have to have something custom fabbed there and that'd naturally cost $$$. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif If you had a friend that can weld and has a bender, you might be able to rig something pretty cheap... I dunno. Who knows, maybe you could contact the guys that make the old kayline tops... and tell them you have a top but broke the part that attaches to the top of the cab and need a new one. Maybe they'd sell you just that part seperately....

I have a Skyler sitting out in the shop somewhere. Let me check on the condition of it and I'll post the results here. It's white with a tinted window if I remember correctly, I never got around to putting it on a rig.

I sent you a PM about the Skyler soft top I have. As far as everyone else is concerned, this was his post, so he has first dibs. If he passes, I'll post it in the parts for sale section or just run it for the summer. Please stop emailing me until then, my mailbox is filling up with repeat emails from some of you. Thanks!!

Thanks to everybody who helped out and responded to this post. What I finally did was start constructing a custom soft top based on a beat up hard top I picked up locally for free. I'm aiming for kind of a ghetto cam-back look! Stay tuned...

I have a Skyler top somewhere.. it came with my rusted out 87 K-5. i'd use it, but I have way too much invested into my stereo to even bother with it. Too much of a risk. if I find it, I'll try to swipe my buddy's digital camera and snap some pics. But I do remember it having a rip someplace, but it was easily patchable... I may fix it myself if it's possible
