Well we better get out to the Slab before September 1, since the bill to ban fourwheelin' in all riverbeds has passed /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif Looks as though the only people who can legally be in the riverbed(in a motor vehicle) is law enforcement and land owners...I received this email today regarding SB155:

The den will still be open. The bill states that a protected water source is a "navigable river maintaining an average width of 30 feet per month" That is definitely not the Den. I'm going to print it out and keep it in my truck in case some fool wants to try and give me a ticket.
BTW, it's a Class C Misdemeanor if you get caught doing it...

Double on that point. Make sure you are going into a non-protected area if you do wheel, and in this case, the Den is not a protected water way.

i might be wrong, but i think you're talking about legdewater. that place was sold right before memorial day. and now is off limits to wheeling.

It is my understanding that Ledgewater sold off the area where they allowed ATV and 4 Wheeling. So before you go I would check with them..

    Here's the note I received:

Well, Ledgewater is dead. Without the hills there's no point in wheeling
there. There's just a really nice campsite left.

Well it is official. 640 acres were sold which contained the more
challenging area of Ledgewater. Actually, the property did not
belong to them in the first place, they were just using it. The
original 423 acres are still left.
