Okay, I'm looking for a new CD and I was thinking Slipknot. I have their newest, and I'm wondering if any of the older stuff is just as good or better.

Or any other choices. I'm looking for something more main stream so I don't have to order it and wait.

I just bought the new Mudvayne album, but I didn't care for it much.

listen to mudvayne some more. I didn't like it that much to begin with, but it quickly changed to one of my favorite CDs. I thought LD50 was better at first, but quickly changed my mind on that. Going to see Mudvayne at Ozzfest tomorrow :D

I love Soilwork, one of my favorite bands. THey are mainstream enough that any store should have them(I know Bestbuy and FYE do).

Never been much into Slipknot to recommend.

That's what I love about computers now. I'm just copying the CD onto the computer and trading it back in.

I'll check out Soilwork. I think I've heard a song of theirs on a local station, but I don't remember the song much.

I enjoyed my time with Slipknot, but they're a bit dark for my tastes these days :D I've only heard what they have on launch.yahoo.com and their latest CD...

I picked up a Soilwork CD and I do like the first 2 songs. I like music that really kicks some ass.

I also got one of the older Slipknot CDs, but I'm not sure which one it is.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Scott, here is a short list of stuff I think you might like. You might even already have some, but... Some of my favorite stuff:

    Strapping Young Lad
    Slayer
    Hatebreed
    Killswitch Engage
    Lamb of God

I really enjoy these groups. I have some of their stuff, if you wanna borrow it or burn it. Lemme know...

i think i have only heard a couple songs from the latest cd and i wasnt crazy about it, but their first cd was always my favorite, iowa was alright too. i saw them on the poa tour back in the day at the forum and the lead singer told everybody to get on the floor and immediately everybody was jumping off the higher levels to get down on the floor, it looked like a niagra falls with people, im sure security wasnt too happy about that one but it was a sick show.

yeah ld50 is a great cd i can still listen to that but lately i have been listening to alot of hatebreed, it does the trick of pissing off the neighbors :D

I was at that show :saweet: I was up in lodge 6 and made a mad dash to the floor and made it to front of the stage. I went to the last slipknot show at the forum and had floor tickets and towards the end of the night corey mentioned that night but he didn't try it again.

The latest slipknot cd is just to get out of contract so hey can start work with his first project Stone sour! Atleast thats what I heard. There first CD rules, and Iowa was pretty sweet, but mudvayne Is highly recomended. Right now my favorite band is Trivium.
