Just came from the Pull and Save in Denver and they have a SM465 tranny with a NP203 case still bolted into a 74 Chevy truck. All thats needed is four crossmember bolts unbolted and its yours. The motor and bellhousing are gone, but everyerything else is still there. Pedals, dash, and steering column.
Thought I would let anyone interested know. Good luck.

    Good eye.

I know there were a lot of folks looking for this earlier, you might stick it over at parts for sale/wanted too.

    Either way BTT

Did an SM 465/NP 203 combo ever come stock? I thought they were always 205s or 208s.

Also found in some Blazer/Jimmy's.... According to my parts book, any 73-75 f/s truck could be had this way. I got mine from a 77 K10 with 250 inline 6 - I suspect it wasn't original.

Someone near there needs to jump on this, these are good parts to have! PLEASE save them from the crusher!!!!! I hate seeing stuff like that get smashed or lost or broken because some wrecking yard guy doesn't care.

    HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Combo is worth a fortune. Do you know how hard it is to find the adapter that goes in between a 465 and a 203??????????? If you get this setup, I've designed a way to make an almost bulletproof drivetrain with a 24 to 1 gear ratio out of the motor. This means that if you have 300 ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel, then you've got 7200 ft/lbs of torque through the driveshafts! This is very important. Can you think of a drivetrain with splines of no less then 30 all the way through With gears instead of belts!
