I’m replacing all the seals in the 14blt and I can’t seem to get the snap ring out that holds in the outer bearing in the hub. I tried to use some s/r pliers but the tips stared to bend. Do I just need a big pair of s/r pliers or what.

    Thanks,
    Charles.

I used two pair of pliers and a fairly large flat head scewdriver. Takes a bit at first. Just keep at it and they should come out.

I went to harbor freight and bought a pair of 16" needle nose pliers and they worked perfect. No problems at all, the snap rings came out on the 1st try and went back in just as easy.

I had the same problem, but I ended up breaking one. I finally got it out by using a punch to move the race slightly away from the snap ring. The snap ring came out easily after that.
