The bracketry and the center section is 1/4". From the brackets out its 7ga. and there are side support braces of tubular construction. Somewhat similar to the factory side braces.

The clevis mounts on the front of the bumper are the same peice of steel as the bracketry and then thickened to provide more welded area as well as more surface area for your shackle pin.

Kert, is this one a picture of my bumper? The winch and lamps look familar. :) If it is, can't wait to see it on my Suburban. :) If it isn't, someone is getting a NICE bumper.

Looks sweet, and now I know why I send you my money.

I am excited! I just heard back from Tracy and paid for the shipping on both the front and the rear bumpers. She said you'll be sending them out Monday, and I am excited to get these on my truck. :)

Not I just need to decide which type of paint (and which color) to use to paint them. I was originally planning to powdercoat them, but I was thinking that would be harder to touch up when I scratch them all up... so maybe I'll just use some heavy duty spray can stuff.

    Hooray!

Thanks a lot to Kert for working with me to get the bumper the way I wanted it, and accomodate the winch of my choice. Thanks!

I bought the UD1 with all the options (Tire Carrier, Gas Cans, Lights, Hitch, Hi Lift Mount). They are both being shipped on the same pallet (along with my M12K winch).

I have a jet black 89 Suburban. I am thinking I will go with something in gunmetal Grey. SOrt of a Hmmered Steel color and finish. Normally I would just go black, but with a Black truck, that might be a little much.

Gunmetal would be sweet hammered or not. I was going to use hammered on my shackle flip, but decided I couldn't put something so bumpy on that perfect new steel, so I just went with smooth grey. Rustoluem makes a gunmetal color in both finishes. You have to promise to post pics when they arrive. Or Kert could just post up more pics, hint, hint. (and some prices so I can start hording, I mean saving, cash.). ;)
