Ok Southern Cal guys, who has the itch to do some more wheeling?? I know that a while back we were talking about a possible end of March trip, well, it is almost the end of March! Matt and I were talking last night, and we decided that we would see who wants to go. I was thinking that the last weekend in March, which is the 31st-1st would be the best. The next weekend is Palm Sunday and all, and I am sure people will be getting ready for Easter and all the weekend after that. We were thinking about maybe a trip up to the Gorman area? I would also be interested in going back out to Truckhaven Hills (where they just had the Tierra del Sol event last weekend), that place is awesome!! It's pretty central for us Orange County guys and the San Diego guys, and the terrain is a lot of fun! We are open to ideas as far as location, so let's hear em!

I would suggest Big Bear again, but most of you were pretty tired of the snow last time, and they just keep getting more of it! ha,ha Let's get together and go wheel!!

Well, let's see what the majority of the people say, and then we can decide on which day...

Ok, I seem to be getting the sense that Sunday is better so far...now, how about some ideas on where to go?? The snow should be melting up in Big Bear by then, even though I am sure there will still be plenty around...that should make it muddy!! :) I was thinking, if we decided on Tierra Del Sol, I would have to go out there for an overnighter, cause it's a couple hour drive for me and plus that place rocks!!

So, if you guys can, let's start getting an idea of who wants to go where, ok? So far the ideas are:
    1) Big Bear (snow, mud, hopefully can do the good trails this time)
    2) Tierra Del Sol (awesome desert wheeling, hillclimbs, nice weather)
    3) Gorman (up on the Grapevine, I have never been there, should have some snow)
    4) ???

Burt4x4- I make it to Madera in about 5 1/2 hours from my house. I am about 45 minutes from Big Bear, so that should give you an idea.

kapanza- I don't care where we go, you book it and I'm there.

I put my post up before I read yours. So how about getting a little FOUR-PLAY before your trip. How about Azusa this weekend? Just a little morning fun. I'd like to spend the afternoon with the family. They are to young to take with me. What do you say?

I'd have to pick Gorman. It has a little of everything. Mud, Trails, Snow? and it has a mini o-course(it's pretty easy.) Sunday is great for me.

If they went to Gorman it would only be about 4-4.5 hours for you. It is at the top of the Grape Vine on I5.

    See Ya,

I think you were right in your last post. It is about 3-3.5 hours from Bakersfield. So that sounds like 6-6.5 hours from you.

    See Ya,
    Keith

Well, let's see what the vote come to...I have a couple of buddies that picked Tierra Del Sol. I personally love the Big Bear area, just hope the snow is getting out of the way by then so that we can do some more difficult trails than last time...and I have always wanted to see Gorman, always just drive by on the way to Fresno...

Personally, I thought Tierra del Sol last weekend was incredible, it was one of my favorites definitely...

I'd like to go to tierra del sol too, but like you said earlier It would have to be an overnighter to enjoy it. I like Gorman because it makes for a good day trip. Big Bear is a good LONG day trip. What's the talley so far?
