**Date has been set for April 7th!!**

I have heard rumors that Azusa is on a list of places to close down. So I want to get at least one more run out there before it does close down(if it ever does). I'd like to go on either the 17th of March or the 7th of April. These are the Sundays before and after Easter.
The gates open at 8am and it cost $5 to get in. What I have done in the past is get there promptly at 8am and leave somewhere close to 1pm. (Mud for some reason wears you out.)

    SO WHO'S INTERESTED?

There should be plenty of mud and the river will probably be pretty deep at the crossings. It's always fun to go and just watch. Some people think that their brand new expeditions or rav-4's are so capable of conquering everything off-road, Well those are the most fun to watch. The mud just eats them alive.

I posted this on the Trails forum also.

Are you ever going to get that bad ass K5 on/off the road? Last time you were in a 4 runner. I sold my K5, I'll be in an (ugly according to Esteban) Suburban this time.

    Yeah, I did go there.

I can't wait to go play again. How deep is the river crossing now?

I don't know how deep the crossing is right now, but with all of this snow in the mountains and the rain is should be pretty damn deep. just the crossing may prove to be challenging. I'm getting exited already.

BTW my Brother had a 76 that sat on 44's that he submerged in the river once. The current was so strong that it started to push it and eventually rolled it on it's side. 4 trucks with winches and 9 hours later it was out.

One more thing that I can't emphasize enough and I haven't mention yet is TOW HOOKS I know that there are many guys out there that don't have them on their trucks and it creates a headache when you need to get yanked out of anywhere. They don't cost much and aren't hard to put on, so PLEASE!!!!!!! put some on before Azusa. O.K. I'm done now./forums/images/icons/wink.gif

If my truck is running I'll be there with 2 other blazers. mine, another primered one with 10" of lift, and a 77 1ton on 40's.
Esteban, you really think Azusa Cyn will be shut down? that thing has been there forever. And the crossing, If its the first one I dont think it will be that deep. I've been there during rain and never been over 2ft.

I've just heard rumors of it shuting down. Hopefully it won't but if it does, I wanna get this last run in.
And about the river, I'm talking about the river down closer to the resevoir. It gets pretty knarly down there. The first river crossing is normally shallow but then more than one merge together to create a larger one. (At least this is what I remember of it)

When you were going to Vegas you pasted the 10/15 junction right? Well it's about 25 miles west of there. You'd take the 10 west to the 57north to the 210 west and get off on Azusa canyon rd. Head straight up the mountain and you will see it on your right hand side.
