Here we go again with another run in So Cal. This time we are headng to the Miller Jeep Trail that starts in the Frazier Park area and winds down into the Hungry Valley OHV park. We will be meeting on Sunday December 2nd at 8am in the Mcdonalds parking lot at the Gorman exit off the 5 freeway at the top of the Grapevine. Hopefully it will be a little muddy to make things a bit more interesting and more fun once we get into the OHV park and the O-coarse that is located there.[IMG]

We are going yo go to the Frazier park exit and take that to Lockwood Valley Road. We will hop on to #118 West Frazier Valley Rd.. That will take us to 8N12 which is the Lockwood Creek Trail. This trail will lead us directly to the Miller Jeep trail and all the way to the top of Alamo mountain. We might do a couple of the side trails that are basically little loops jut for fun.
Why not just meet us at MCD's?

I have a lead on a place that is down by San Diego area, a place called "Bronco Peak"...Peter, the guy with the yellow Cherokee that likes driving quickly downhills in reverse(!!) [IMG], he just went with his Land Rover club of San Diego, said it was a really great trail! Saw some pictures, it looks better than John Bull! [IMG] So, I will see when he can go, since he will be the trail leader for that one, will let you guys know!

Also, we should butt heads and see what everyone is doing for New Years weekend??

Maybe we should let Preston be the trail leader for Bronco Peak so that we can push him over with our Blazer's.[IMG]

do you think these trails will take all day? I was thinking if it cuts short, there are some cool trails at Rowher Flats, Drinkwater Flats area near Saugus, that we might be able to check out.

I've read that it's about a four hour trail with "good" weather. But if it's gonna be muddy[IMG] it will proabably make it a little more difficult. If we finish early I'm game for trying other trails.

If I show up I will probably need to ride with some one else. If I do make it I'll try to bring the trailer just in case there's some real carnage. I already got permission from the wife.

Sounds good Richard, there's always an open seat somewhere. Mine will probably be available so you can ride with me.

Yep, I went out in the mud a little yesterday with my brother, had a good time. His Bronco seriously needs a Detroit though! Man, his ballsy 302 V8 just spins two tires like mad as soon as he loses any traction! I was crawling up the hills with just the rear Detroit, only had to turn the ARB on once up front for a hill that had all kinds of wet tree roots sticking up...

I still can't find that short of mine...it's a pain in the *ss...only comes on once in a while! Always when I have the headlights on, so am trying to look in that wiring loom. The lights go very dim and the volt meter dives down to about 8-9 volts real quickly, then comes back to normal. It seems like it does this in rapid succession when it does it, then it goes away for several minutes before recurring??? What the hell?
