    Ok guys/gals,

For those of you who didn't see our post on the main board, we have another trip planned to go wheeling! [IMG] On Sunday, Nov. 4th, we are going to be doing the Cleghorn Trail (2N17X) in the San Bernardino National Forest. This trail is easily accessed from the I-15 - simply travel up the Cajon Pass to about the halfway point, you will see Cleghorn Rd. We will be meeting at the McDonalds there at 6AM that morning! This trail is a fun trail, especially the harder, optional off shoots! If we can make good enough time, we will be also be doing the Deep Creek trail (3N14).

I have a list going on the other forum. This will be a fun day-trip run before the busy holiday season starts. It might also be one of the last times we can do Deep Creek as a group before the snow makes it much more dicey!

Hope to see all of the So Cal people at this one!!

    Keith

Ok, the trip is set! Our trail plan is just a little different from last time we did it, since we cannot access 2N17X because of the trailhead's proximity to the dam (for security reasons).

We are still meeting at McDonald's at 6AM at Cajon Junction off of the 15 freeway on Sunday, Nov. 4th. You will see "Cleghorn Road" exit just before Cajon Junction/Highway 138 - go past Cleghorn Rd to the next exit - which is Hwy 138. You can't miss the McDonald's on the right side of the highway. Because of the lengthy trails we will take, we need to get an early start to allow us to enjoy all of them!!

Also, everyone will need a Forest Adventure Pass so that the Rangers are happy with you! These are only $5 (or $15 for a one year pass, which IMHO is the better way to go if you plan on wheeling with us this next year - Plus, if you can get a friend to buy one with you at the same time, you get the 2nd one for only $5!!) They are available at Sport Chalets, Big 5s, etc...they are good for all So Cal forests that require them...

Everyone should bring a lunch and whatever else you need to be comfortable! I would suspect that temperatures would be on the cooler side, especially early and late. Don't see any snow in the forecast, so shouldn't have to worry about that! <img src="http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/smile.gif">

Hey John!! There you are!! [IMG] Cool, looking forward to seeing you guys again!

Also, I got an email back from Greg Hoffman, he is the head guy that runs the San Bernardino OHV programs, he said that our planned route would work perfectly, will have no problems with gate closures. He said there are two closures down by the dam, but we will be nowhere near them.

    See everyone out there Sunday!!

well, pulled the trans yesterday. a 2x4 700r4 has a longer output shaft than a 4x4 700r4. sooo, not gonna have the beast this weekend, but will have the jeep, and my dad says I can take his nissan. It only has 30-9.50 all terrain ko's though. could be interesting. just to confirm, were doing cleghorn and deep creek? I think his truck can make those, but the "bull" would probably be too much for it. anyway, see you sunday early a.m. looking forward to hitting the dirt again.
