and it's one of them fancy schmancy stainless units... and since we've been having all sorts of circus-freak style entertainment arguing about them, i thought i'd share..

now mind you this box is about 3 months old, used 2 weeks in a home shop..

loaded it up, cleaned the dust and filth off (top 2 layers), strapped it in and drove home, i have driven approximately 20 miles since then, and when i got to a stop i noticed something was wrong with the box.. didnt look right

    top quality!
whaddya think about that shat, eh? 'far as i can tell, its just the one caster, but come on! argghh and this box WAS sold... maybe i'll get good scrap for it..

well the stainless on the lid is 2.00mm thick, and the steel on drawers is 1.5mm... the bottom of the box, the part that gave way, is stainless, WHY? that's ignorant at best... oh well, guess thats why im not an engineer... id make a magnetic box... lol

1.2mm steel on a snap-on drawer, and still deflects a LOT less, actually non, compared to the cheap steel in that stainless pos...

    Two things.....

1.Thats not the same box that Chevyin and I have, I can tell it's a different brand, or at least a different variation of it.

    2. Too bad so sad..:haha: My casters look great, and is FULL of heavy snap on tools, oh and mine is three times as old as your box there and mine is used in a pro application.

I have a friend that blew up a 4L80E at 50K..... does this mean all 4L80's are complete junk and will also blow at 50K?????:D

I think I have that same box, its what I use at work. Is it a piece of ****? oh hell yea, but it works. Mine is LOADED and not showing any signs of crap like that. But the majority of the time it doesn't move. I'll likely never move it full(buy a new box sometime in the near future). I got it way cheaper than anything of similar storage capacity. It will be nice for Dad's home shop whenever I get my new box.

oh mine survived a FULL topple. Had too many drawers open, it fell flat on its face. Dented the crap out of the drawers when the stuff in them hit the front but still kicking.
